what i learned at school today...

Ethan basically won't tell us anything about his day at school. We ask, but he won't tell...apparently it's top secret! Sometimes though, we get a sneak peek. The other night he was marching around the living room, and we figured out he was in a marching band. Which apparently was what they did in music that day. He actually did confess to playing a triangle with "B" ( Mrs. B is the music teacher).
Tonight Ethan was sitting on the floor talking to his toys and Jamie asked him a question. He put his finger to his lips, and said "shhhh, no talking, my turn" So I'm pretty sure he likes to interrupt during circle time.
On a totally unrelated topic tonight while I was straightening up the kitchen he came in a put his Thomas the Tank Engine in the fridge. I asked him what he was doing and he told me "Thomas in time-out!" Can't argue with that! :)

the story of the poop!

so today, a funny thing happend...i found a small ball of poop in my upstairs hallway! Here's the story- Ethan had asked to go potty downstairs- so I put him on and let him go, afterwards of course he needed a new pull-up. We have just recently begun letting Ethan go upstairs alone to get things...I had a pull-up downstairs but he said, "No, I go get one" So I figured- okay, who cares, if that makes him happy go for it! So E went up and got a pull-up, came back down and said, "Mommy I poopy" I said, "you have to go Poopy?" and put him on the toilet (he's never pooped in the potty before) anyway, long story short...he was just playing around on the potty so I took him off and we went for our walk around our development. Well, when we came back in and went upstairs for our bath- there in the middle of the hall was a small round ball of poop!
So I asked Ethan what it was, and he said, "That's poop!" I told him we don't go poopy in the hall, either in our diaper or in the potty. He replied, "Oh, I sorry" Then he preceeded to bend down as close to it as possible without touching it to look at it.
I must say- he did try to tell me. And in his defense he was a little naked- bottom boy running upstairs, I think it just fell out! :)
That was my laugh for the day! And it was a good one!

Ethan's First Day

Sorry, it's been so long since I've posted. Being a working mom is a lot busier than I thought!

Ethan is doing great at pre-school. He love it! Unfortunatley he is already getting a cough, so we upped his breathing treatments and we have a new medicine that should help. His teacher is great, she took pictures the first day of school and sent them to the parents that evening. Her name is Mrs. Capps, but he just calls her "capps". The music teacher told me that he just calls her "b". He loves to play on the playground, especially b/c they have tricycles just his size. :) We are on adjoining playgrounds each day for a few minutes and when comes outside he runs to the fence and gives me a kiss through the fence. He always says, "you working?" His other favorite thing at the school is the water fountain. There is one right by his hook and he HAS to have a drink every morning when we get there and every afternoon before we leave. Some days when we get home we have to change his shirts! :)

Enjoy the pics!
