3!

Well, our little man is three now! I can hardly believe it! He is saying new things all the time and is constantly making Jamie and I laugh. The other morning I went to get him out of his bed and he said, " I Batman" then he told me that "Tywer is Robin, He's over there" (pointing to the other side of his crib). " Come on Robin" I just laughed. He's learning to recognize his letters, and spots every "E" everywhere! He's also been singing alot lately. I love it because sometimes he will just make up songs. The other day he sang about Jesus being his friend! :)

Ethan was in his first production! His school, Winchester Academy, had a Christmas program. He was supposed to be dressed up like an angel, but as you can see from the picture, he did not cooperate that evening. That's okay, he still went on stage with his class and sang his song about 5 little angels. He did a great job. I was in the front taking pictures and when he came out he saw me and waved and said "hi mommy". For the finale, all the Preschool came out and sang a song together. When Ethan wasn't picking his nose (yep, he really did pick his nose) he was singing directly into the microphone that happened to be right infront of him. That's our boy! :)

One whole month with out our camera is just not possible....especially the month of December! So hopefully, my mom will be able to mail it to us this week. So here is an pic from this fall, just b/c I want to put in a pic. :) Hopefully, I'll have new pics later this week.

Prayer Warrior

Tonight we were in the doctor's office for Ethan. He had a fever this afternoon and complained about his ear, it's just a virus and that's not the reason for the post. :)
While we were there, we were waiting for the doctor to come in and Ethan was eating some fruit loops while we waited. The scale was right outside our door and apparently an infant was being weighed and wasn't happy. He/she was screaming! Ethan was vey concerned and kept mentioning the "baby crying". So, I asked him if he wanted to pray for the baby, b/c the baby didn't feel good. He said "okay", folded his hands and said, "Jesus fank you for this food, Amen" :) That's my prayer warrior!
I will post some pics from our first field trip to the pumpkin patch tomorrow! :)

what i learned at school today...

Ethan basically won't tell us anything about his day at school. We ask, but he won't tell...apparently it's top secret! Sometimes though, we get a sneak peek. The other night he was marching around the living room, and we figured out he was in a marching band. Which apparently was what they did in music that day. He actually did confess to playing a triangle with "B" ( Mrs. B is the music teacher).
Tonight Ethan was sitting on the floor talking to his toys and Jamie asked him a question. He put his finger to his lips, and said "shhhh, no talking, my turn" So I'm pretty sure he likes to interrupt during circle time.
On a totally unrelated topic tonight while I was straightening up the kitchen he came in a put his Thomas the Tank Engine in the fridge. I asked him what he was doing and he told me "Thomas in time-out!" Can't argue with that! :)

the story of the poop!

so today, a funny thing happend...i found a small ball of poop in my upstairs hallway! Here's the story- Ethan had asked to go potty downstairs- so I put him on and let him go, afterwards of course he needed a new pull-up. We have just recently begun letting Ethan go upstairs alone to get things...I had a pull-up downstairs but he said, "No, I go get one" So I figured- okay, who cares, if that makes him happy go for it! So E went up and got a pull-up, came back down and said, "Mommy I poopy" I said, "you have to go Poopy?" and put him on the toilet (he's never pooped in the potty before) anyway, long story short...he was just playing around on the potty so I took him off and we went for our walk around our development. Well, when we came back in and went upstairs for our bath- there in the middle of the hall was a small round ball of poop!
So I asked Ethan what it was, and he said, "That's poop!" I told him we don't go poopy in the hall, either in our diaper or in the potty. He replied, "Oh, I sorry" Then he preceeded to bend down as close to it as possible without touching it to look at it.
I must say- he did try to tell me. And in his defense he was a little naked- bottom boy running upstairs, I think it just fell out! :)
That was my laugh for the day! And it was a good one!
