Motorcycle Man!

Here's Ethan "riding" a real motorcycle. We saw friends of ours at the ice-cream stand and they had riden their Harley over. So they let Ethan sit on the bike for a little. He was so excited. We went back for ice-cream a couple days later and Ethan ran over to see if the motorcycles were there again!

Chips and Tacos!

Today Ethan and I are spending my last day as a stay-at-home mom together. We went grocery shopping at walmart. While looking through the chip aisle we were picking out chips for daddy and I said, "Ethan how about spicy taco and cool ranch doritos?" As I picked them up he said, "Mommy they no tacos- they chips! silly mommy" -That's my boy!

On a totally unrelated topic- yesterday evening I went to open the door to my car and the car handle broke off in my hand! So next Friday my little green hyundai will be going in the shop and yet again, I have to wait to get my car inspected for it's Virginia tags!

This weekend was great! Nana and Papap came and spoiled Ethan rotten. He got more "pesents" this weekend than in the last month! We went for icen-cream twice- Ethan has some of everyones except Nana's b/c "i no yike chocate". We also went to Fun Expedition, which is kinda like Chuck.E.Cheese, he ran around like a nut having a blast. I must say though, the highlight of the weekend must have been when were at the ice-crem stand friends from church were there- out riding their motorcycle and Ethan got to sit on the motorcycle. He was so excited! He LOVES motorcycles! He can spot one in the car within a 5 mile radius! Luckily, Mom had her camera with her so as soon as she sends me pics I will put them up.

Tissues...

Ethan is a little under the weather today. Last night he didn't sleep too well. I think he has my seasonal allergies b/c i was sneezing all day too. He just has a runny/stuffy nose. But, he's so cute about it. Last night I went in his room @12:00 because he was up for the fourth or fifth time that night. He was sitting up in his crib and he said "boogies, mommy". So I gave him some tylenol and got a tissue for his boogies. He laid back down, I covered him up and he slept till morning. Tomorrow Nana and Papap arrive! :)

2 year check up

Today Ethan had a 2 year physical for school. He did really well. He is in the 75% for height and weight and head size! So he is tall for his age, but his height and weight are perfect together. He did really well with the doctor and even blew the doctor a kiss goodbye when we left! :)

Of course it's pizza night at the Zirkles and Ethan had 3 pieces and asked for more...he got grapes instead! Not much else going on here...we're excited Nana and Pappap are coming to visit soon...he told me today in the car he wants to go to Nana's. I told him it was a long drive but

Nana would come see him soon.

Little Me Gym

Last night Ethan went to a class at the Little Me Gym. A friend of ours takes her daughter there and they are allowed to bring a guest one night. I tried to tell Ethan what we were going to do, but he didn't get it yet, he just knew we were going to play with Tressie (my friend) and Mawy (her daughter). Well, he had a blast! It is 45 min. long, the first 15 min. is structured; songs, bells, scarves, games, etc. and then for most of the rest of it, it's free time. He was jumping and climbing and swinging from bars! Then at the end, they brought out the bubbles. Bubbles are one of Ethan's favorite things. We ended the class with a stamp, which he also gets at the libwawy :) but at the Little Me Gym, you get 4 stamps: 2 hands and 2 feet. I had already put his sandals back on, but when he saw the other kids getting them on their feet he said down and said, "take these off momma". So, to end the evening we stopped at Rita's where he ate an entire kids size custard with "candy" also known as sprinkes. I stole a bite or two and he said, "stop eating my ice cream!" It was a fun night! :)

PIZZA

Tuesday is Pizza night at the Zirkles! There is a pizza place in Winchester that has a tuesday special- $3.99 for a large cheese pizza. Ethan LOVES pizza. It is definitely his favorite thing to eat. He eats 3 slices every tuesday! I don't even eat 3 slices!

grocery shopping with a 2 year old

Ethan is officially conditionally trained. Everytime we get in the car he asks for a snack! He is also trained to eat while riding in a shopping cart. Many times I have taken Ethan grocery shopping with me and I have tried to do it without a snack and it is disasterious (sp?). He pulls everything out of the back of the cart and throws it around and He puts new things into the cart. It is very frustrating! So I totally cave and open things in the store before I buy them. Last week we ate Ritz cheese and crackers, his current favorite snack, and a few fig newtons. The check-out guy saw the fig newtons and said, "are you sure you want these?" I told him "yes, we were hungry!"

Ethan has become quite the singer. His favorite is a medley of his 2 favorite tunes, "Jesus loves me" and "twinkle, twinkle, little star" My favorite part is the first 2 lines..."Jesus loves me, I know, the Bible say No"
The other day on the way home from church we asked Ethan what he learned about in church today. He said, "I love God". Then he said "I love Jesus". Then he started singing " I love Jesus, I love Jesus" Jamie and I were cracking up! He's a good boy!

Healso likes to sing at home. He drums with his legos, or he holds his star wars light saber as a microphone!
